Name of plants that grow in water and identify the plant part that are edible ?

Many plants growing in water are edible: but be careful of the water since it has a lot of ways of getting polluted.

Two common ones are Nasturtium officinale or water cress where the whole aerial parts or young tender parts of the plant are edible. Nymphaea odorata, the young torus  or as it is maturing into a young fruit is edible in India. I have seen them being sold in Delhi though haven't tried it myself.....

Heres a great website which lists various plants by their latin name, and tells you which parts are edible (and what they're used for). Hope this helps :o)
