  14. Yellowstonedog: the longest continuous railway platform in the UK is Pontypridd on the former Taff Vale Railway in South Wales, now, alas just a shadow of its former self. Gloucester (Great Western Railway) comes a close second.

    In Chicago, the Blue line platform is the same length as the Red Line downtown, the two lines being connected by foot passages at each end of the platforms, but not in the centre. A passenger has to observe the signage carefully to know where the train will stop along the platform as the three stations appear to be one.
