I am not getting married till sept but we are going to disney for our honeymoon. we have to cross the border from canada to bangor than take a plane to disney with a stop in between. My travel agent put the wrong last name on my plane ticket. If I bring my marriage license and other ids should I have a problem or should i call the air line. Its delta if anyone has the number.

  1. I'm not sure what the procedure is in Canada but in America your name isn't legally changed until you go to the DMV and Social Security office to change it.  Your marriage certificate doesn't automatically change your last name.  So if your procedure is similar you shouldn't have a problem.

  2. If your airline ticket is in your maiden name - you can use the passport as is. If the ticket is in your married name, just bring your passport along with a copy of your marraige license.

  3. It should be fine if you don't change your last name before then.  All of your id will have your maiden name still (and as long as your ticket is under your maiden name as well).  Although you said it is not.  Bring your marriage lisence and as much ID as you can, but double check with your travel agent, she/he may be able to change the name for you (I have that ability at my workplace)

  4. Contact your travel agent and see if he/she can change the name on your ticket. If not, have the travel agent call the airline and or customs, and see what needs to be done at the border to ensure a smooth crossing.
