  1. None of our American horses are the riches unless you cost in the stud fees , but if you count just racie winnings there is a horse in Japan who has won over 15 or 16 million but I do not have his name off hand, but if you count stud fees probably Storm Cat even though he did not make that much at the track in comprassion.

  2. Desert Orchid - RedRum????? Not to sure on that one.

  3. I am thinking it is Pleasantly Perfect. I think Invasor will probably be richer.

  4. cigar

  5. Perfect riden by Alex Solis won £3.3million in dubai race now worlds richest race horse

  6. SEABISCUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Invasor!!

  8. pleasantly perfect won L3.3 in a race in Dubai. i also would look up "the essence of Dubai"..

  9. still snaafi dancer if you mean most expensive bought

  10. Princess Anne

  11. GREEN MONKEY  - coolmore stables paid $16 Million for the race horse. He turned out to be a DUD.

  12. Depends in what aspect.  Do you mean the horse that won the most money on the racetrack, the horse that cost the most money or the highest earning stallion?

CIGAR (USA) won $9,999,815 whilst on the racetrack (although he proved a total flop at stud)

DEEP IMPACT (JPN) won over 1.5 billion Yen, which is about $13million.  He has now gone to stud.

THE GREEN MONKEY (USA) cost $16million at a Breeze Up Sale in 2006.

SEATTLE DANCER (USA) cost $13.1million in 1985, and if you look at inflation since then you will probably find that Seattle Dancer's price tag was the larger.

STORM CAT (USA) is currently the highest earning stallion in the world, commanding a fee of $500,000 per mare.  He is getting old now and probably will not cover more than 75 mares in a year - some of which will belong to his owners.  If he covers 45 outside mares each year and gets 31 of them in foal, that is still a cool $15.5million a year for the owners.

  13. the australian supermare makybe diva earned AU$14 526 685 so in us$ on todays rate = us$12 064 860

That beats cigar and all the others mentioned on this page
