  1. Technically, the Junta in Myanmar/Burma not letting any aid in the country - whether Red Cross people or supplies - technically comitted genocide because many people died as a direct result of their decision.  People died because they didn't receive aid that was sitting around waiting to offer help or food and supplies.

  2. As pointed out above Iraq, Though the number is in Fact over 2 Million!

Of course there are many things going on in the world that we are blind to!

  3. Iraq 2003 to present.  over 1.5 million Iraqi civilains now.

  4. The one in northern Uganda started in the late eighties and is still continuing with the number of deaths in the hundreds of thousands...

  5. The Rwandan Genocide was 1994(20th Century)

  6. This is a depressing question. :(. Strictly according to its definition, meaning trying to destroy a group differentiated by religion and/or ethnicity: Darfur (Janjaweed-v-Sudan Liberation Movement), Palestine (ethnic cleansing through the longest military occupation in modern history Israel-v-Palestinians), and to a lesser extent, if it could possibly be called that, Iraq - Sunis-v-Shiites-v-US forces.

Edit: added -v-US forces. (How could I have forgotten!)

  7. Genocide of the spirit!  It's all over the place!
