1% of a trillion $ is a lot, 100% of nothing is still nothing.

USA, 10 trillion dollar debt.

Except for the Scandanavian Countries and Northern Europe, I think All.

Calculate poverty?  No water, no food, or no TV.? All those 'poor' people on TV that have cellphones?

almost every African country and Asian country - Japan, Taiwan, Middle east countries.

Pretty much anywhere in sub-Saharan Africa.  Those places are plagued by perpetual civil wars, AIDS, and famines.  Many people there lack access to basic education and healthcare.  Thousands of people die from starvation there every day.  Their governments are too poor to afford programs such as food stamps, especially when half the population would be eligible.  And even if they were, a lot of SSA governments are corrupt.  The poverty in the developed world is simply not comparable to the poverty there.

but I feel this should not be an important question. With so much poverty around, we should seriously think of how we can help the poor out of their poverty.

One method I came across was the community http://www.orkut.co.in/Community.aspx?cm... which is about the United Nations' End Poverty by 2015 campaign. The campaign revolves around 8 major goals which, if accomplished, would collectively ensure eradication of poverty.
