Give me reasons they should be in.

Should Terell Davis be in for the fact that he was one of the only players to reach over 2,000 yards in a season? plus 2 superbowls?

  1. Davis had a great couple of years, before injury set in, but so did a lot of other backs. Wilbert Montgomery and Billy Sims come to mind. If you are going to put a back in based on what could have been, then there is no doubt Joe Delaney should be the first guy in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Delaney

  2. Terrell Davis should because he like you said rushed for more then 2000 yards and helped lead the broncos to the superbowl a couple times.

  3. What about Emmitt Smith????

    *won 4 NFL rushing titles

*first player in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards in 11 consecutive seasons

    *Pro Bowl 8 times

    *League MVP

*3 Super Bowls+Super Bowl MVP Award (XXVIII)

    *NFL's All-Time Leading Rusher (18,355 yds)

*NFL's career rushing touchdowns leader (164 tds)

...isn't this enough to get him into the hall of fame???? : )

  4. Barry Sander.

    Amazing.

i think his juke and running style also his record

  5. RB's i dunno. but i gotta vote for Tully Bantacain. LB.

    2 rings too..right?

  6. Ricky Watters.

Number 19 on the all-time rushing yardage list and one of 23 players in NFL history with 10,000+ rush yards.

4.1 ypc average for his career.

78 TDs (that's 17 more than O.J. Simpson had to give you an idea)

    Ottis Anderson.

    10,000+ rush yards.

    86 TDs

    2 superbowl titles

Idk if Davis will be.  The 2000 yard season is hard to overlook though.

I don't think the super bowl titles matter as much for a running back.  They are more used to measure the success of a QB. It's a tough call.

  7. he was one of the best rbs when he played and that is normally a good measure of whether they should be in the hall or not.

the same goes for guys like barry sanders and jim brown, who both didnt play that long but dominated the game when they did

  8. No to Terrell Davis... he didn't play long enough and besides... he only had a few good years in his brief career so he will never be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  The only RB's that are retired that should go in are Emmitt Smith because he's the NFL's all-time leading rusher and has won 3 Super Bowl's.  Maybe Jerome Bettis but I'm biased on this one because I'm a Steelers fan.  Also, perhaps Marshall Faulk and Curtis Martin but I'm not sure.  So again... Emmitt Smith for sure and Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis, and Marshall Faulk are maybe's.

  9. All of them that should be are.

  10. yes someday he might be

  11. yes Terrell Davis should be in the hall, Ottis Anderson too
