  1. Kazahkstan

    Byelorus

    Kyrgistan

    Uzbekestan

    Lithuania

    Estonia

    Modova

    Latvia

  2. Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, and Armenia. Those are the ones I know offhand from memory.

*edit: Woops, sorry I should have fully read the question that you were asking for 8 EUROPEAN countries that were part of the USSR. I removed the Asiatic Turkic countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan from my list.

  3. Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania

  4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-Soviet...

  5. Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Georgia (very small part of it is in Europe).

  6. Russia, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, MaryAnn, and the Professor.

  7. Hmmm ... Lets see if I can get to 8

Russia, Ukraine, Byelorus, Moldova, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia

I guess Georgia is the 8th. But if Georgia counts do Armenia and Azerbaijan count as being in Europe as well? I thought all 3 were south of the Caucuses and therefore in Asia, but I could be mistaken.

There is also Transnistria, but thats not internationally recognised as a separate country.
