  1. The blood supply to the gallbladder is the cystic artery which is a branch of the hepatic artery.

    The cystic vein drains into the portal vein.

    The muscle layer is supplied by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves of the myenterc or Auerbach's plexus.

    The mucous layer is supplied by the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves of the submucosal or Meissner's plexus.
