I'm not talking recently retired players - which for me might include Buckley, Riscuitto (did I spell that right?) and Hird.

But out of the current crop, are there any you think might end up in this category.

I could accused of being biased but from my own team ... Matthew Scarlett I think will be an absolute great. (I also have a feeling about Andrew Mackie who was the real, but unnoticed, best on ground in the GF)

But he has proving to do, so I'd say Dale Thomas from the Pies, but I'm struggling to think of a third. Perhaps the defender who was just traded from the Crows and who's name I can never remember! Mattner is it?

  1. J. Brown

    D. Kerr

    R. Harvey

    S. West

I think the last Harvey and West are still playing this season.

It's hard to pick 3 but that's my guess

  2. Scott West. Bulldogs.

    Robert Harvey. Saints.

    Chris Judd. Blues

  3. This might be your third choice

He kicked 6 goals in his first final including the winner from outside 50

    Lance Franklin!

One day maybe he is still young.

  4. Ray A ,take those blue and white glasses off mate,SOS played as a full back on the likes of gazza snr, tony lockett,Jason dunstall, tony modra, peter sumich, carey (at times),sav rocca (in his hey day),stewie low, and probably in an era where we had champion full forwards in every team-who has scarlett played on??? he wouldn't even rate a mention although he is a good back man.

And to answer your question, well chris Judd will be up there if you are to beleive all the hype,J brown if he stays fit and,and maybe young gazza if he continues with this years form.and to be fair cousins should end up in the hall of fame just a champion player (besides all the rubbish of late)

  5. yeah Mattner, if he helps Sydney to the next couple of grand finals.

    Chris Judd maybe

Put Pavlich in a decent team and maybe

Jonathon Brown is definitely quality so consider. There has been a lot of great forwards though and only a few positions to fill.

Who would you rather judd or ablett? An unbiased person would always go for judd so ablett's out.

Just for a joke how about Nathan Ablett - awesome player, one of the best ever ha ha.

  6. Is this a joke question ray, 3 in the best 22, you were kidding with Buckley were you not, Dale Thomas, Mattner, Scarlett, Jesus Christ are you on the woopy weed son, only one player would go close, that'd be Chris Judd, there isn't another, do you know how many great players there have been, maybe Rob Harvey, two Brownlows, deserved too.  young Ablett if he plays consistently for another 5-6 years maybe, crikey mate.

  7. Robert Harvey

    Chris Judd

    Jonathon Brown.

and much its pains me to maybe add Akermanis he does have three premiership medals and a Brownlow.

  8. chris judd, lots of hype but he is brilliant simple as that.

Jonathan brown when fit can win games off his own boot and as centre half forwards go he has to be at least near the best

Daniel Kerr quick, skillful and on his day can match it with judd

  9. simon prestigiacomo

    cain ackland

    ben holland

hands down , no argument , starting line up. if you disagree then you obviously  have never seen an afl game in your lifetime.

no but seriously judd is the only bone fide contender , tough midfield to break into though, hed prob be on the bench.

  10. 1, Johnathon Brown.

    2, Matthew Scarlett.

    3, Chris Judd.

3a, Speedy Gonzales Cousins could of rated a mention, but as his career is kind of "on hold" i've put him down in the reserves

  11. Dustin Fletcher - One of the most consistent and reliable backmen of the modern era. Saved the Don's many times.

J Brown - Possibility but has alot of strong competition. Has layed a solid foundation and I think his final years will decide.

Judd / Kerr - Strong contenders but again have strong competition

  12. Judd, Harvey, West.

Maybe one day, Pavlich, J. Brown, D.Kerr.

  13. James Hird

    Chris Judd

    Nick Riewoldt

  14. Judd: might squeeze in their for his playing days at WCE will not do anything special at the Carlton blues

West: Western Bulldogs amazing player has finished in the top 3 for brownlow medal for something like 6 years now

Franklain: Big future, will be enhanced once he returns home to the WCE

Kerr: great for a little dude, carves up

Selwood Maybe even the Geelong Selwood scott i think? not sure he will be up thier in 4 years

  15. Jonathan Brown

    Simon Black

    Daniel Kerr
