If you could start any 5 players of any time who would you pick. If you want to complete your bench go ahead, but who would your greatest team be?

Mine is:

Point - Magic Johnson

Shooting - Michael Jordan

Sm Fwd - Larry Bird

Pwr Fwd - Karl Malone

Center - Wilt Chamberlain

How about some suggestions for the back ups?

  1. I like these questions the most... My 5 would be

PG - Magic- Just like the guy above me said, he's too big and skilled for anyone to contend with

SG - Jordan - Unstoppable... Best player to ever play the game period

SF - Pippen - Pippen could do it all and do it all very good... best perimeter defender of all time

PF - I cant choose between Tim Duncan or Barkley... Barkley was undersized, but he was an intense player and a huge threat to score and rebound, but Duncan is just Mr. do it all, and he knows how to win... The other guy put Karl Malone, he's not a bad choice, but he scored mainly off of screen rolls, like Amare Stoudemaire..So take stockton out and he's just like STAT without Nash...

C - Shaq - No question... Shaq is the most dominating presence to ever be on  a basketball court... His size alone is enough to scare off lots of players... But Id take the shaq in his Orlando Days...when he was tearing rim downs and before he really filled out.... He was quick, explosive, strong, and had back to the basket moves... I agree with the other guy that his defense wasnt that great, but most big men are help and weak side defenders, which means they just go for the shot block on whoever is attacking the rim... and one more thing, as good as chamberlain is , i think shaq would just dominate him

    BACKUPS.........

PG - John Stockton - Ultimate team player, highly unselfish, can score, and come up with alot of steals

SG - Kobe - Right after Jordan is the  best SG of all time... Can do it all,  and has a killer instinct similar to jordans

SF - Lebron - Who's gonna guard LeBron James? No one.. Put a big guy on him and he's blowing by him, but a quick guy on him and he's overpowered, put someone with equal athletic ability and then u have his passing ability to contend with... absolutely no answer for this guy....

PF - Dennis Rodman - Why not get one of the most intimidating defenders and rebounders of all time (best rebounder of all time, sorry russell fans) He was strong, quick, and was the ultimate hustler when it came to getting the loose ball and doing dirty work.. Not a good scorer, but who needs scoring from him with a team as stacked as this one?

C  - Either Olajuwan or Robinson would be good here... They had similar games, just olajuwan was better... Either way I cant go wrong

  2. This my 9 man rotation...

    STARTERS

    C) Hakeem Olajuwon - offensively his "Dream Shake" was a big deal, and he was great on offense, but I pick Hakeem because he was the most versitle defensive big man of his time (averaged 4 blocks, 2 steals and 12 rebounds from 88 to 92).

    F) Larry Bird - played small forward most of his career, but would be a matchup nightmare for power forwards with his shooting, passing, and could even use his quickness against the bigger forwards.

    F) Scottie Pippen - one of the best multi-skilled players of all time, and the greatest defensive small forward ever.

    G) Michael Jordan - Greatest shooting guard of all time and maybe the best player in NBA history.

    G) Magic Johnson - To big, too skilled for any other PG to handle.

    BENCH

    6) Tim Duncan - Really no weakness in his game. Could back up Olajuwon and start for Bird against big forwards.

    7) Julius Erving - Great athletic wing who can do it all and play multiple positions for this team.

    8) Steve Nash - One of the greatest offensive guards ever, and the most accurate shooting PG ever. He sucks as a defender though, which is why he's on my bench.

    9) Shaquille O'Neal - I wouldn't play him more than 15 minutes a game, because he wasn't a top notch defender like Hakeem or Timmy, but in his prime no one could guard him, period.

  6. Wilt Chamberlain- for 100 points

Tim Duncan- to complete the twin tower, they would rule the insides

    Larry Bird/ Bruce Bowen-

Bird is a great player but most of them here are scorers, the thing is he can add a lot in twin towers

    --------------------------------------...

    D-Rock ( person below me ) Wow you such a moron ...

Shaq will Dominate Wilt ?  Dude you don't even know what you talking about ...

    Wilt Chamberlain is

    Stronger than Shaq

    Faster than Shaq

    Has more Post-Moves than Shaq

    Much more Athletic than Shaq

    Better Scorer than Shaq

    Better Defender than Shaq

    Better Rebounder than Shaq

Did you know that Wilt averaged 48.5 minute per game for 1 season and 45.8 min pg for his career ? i guess not ...

And Wilt is The Most Dominated Player Ever to play Basketball

    Lol at your response ..

Did you know that Wilt Chamberlain used to bench 500 pounds..Shaq at his prime could only bench around 450 ...

Oh and he able to rebound alot because he was taller than everyone ? ummm interesting because in 71-72 season Wilt Chamberlain Averaged 19.2 rebounds at age 35~~~~~and Kareem Abdul-Jabber averaged only 16.6 at age 24 ... so yea Dude you have no basketball knowledge at all

    --------------------------------------...

    Your point fails again!

So what Shaq gone against 7 ft-ers... Oh So did Chales Barkley ... and he has higher rebound average than Shaq ... and he is only 6'5 for God's sake!

Shaq is quicker than someone ? LOL LOL LOL

Ben Wallace wieghs less than Shaq ..  Ben is stronger than Shaq!

And Ben is 250 and Wilt was 275 ...

So your point fails once again...

Ben Wallace averaged 13.6 rebounds agains Shaq in Finals compared to Shaq's 10.8 rebounds ..

I guess Ben ( whose 6'9 )  was playing against midgets to huh ?
