Question

Is there a website somewhere with a nice list or archive of dishes (dinner) that one would find in an expensive restaurant?

I'm looking for sophisticated, expensive, and delicious..nothing extremely tiny and unfilling though. Can I get some help?

Most Expensive Menu Items in the World

I was watching a tv show the other day about the top ten most expensive menu items in the world.

I don't remember all of them, but one of the items was a $1000 Sundae with actual gold leaf in it. Another item was a $5000 hamburger that you can get in Vegas, and it is free if you are a high enough roller.

The most expensive item was a German bottle of wine that dated back to 1727. It is the oldest drinkable bottle of wine and it sells for $200,000.

Search for Michelin 3 star restaurants, and then look at the menus they have online. Also restaurants like Spago, Le Cirque, Aureole, French Laundry, Per Se, Chez Panisse, Charlie Trotter's they will all have menus posted online.

As far as expensive dishes, items like Wagyu and Kobe Beef are very trendy, popular and on a lot of menus. Foie Gras is expensive, as are truffles, Uni (sea urchin)
