Names of back off football shirts

my son recently got given some football shirts of his cousin whos outgrown them is there any chance of getting the name off

If its a players name on the back theres no problem. If its something thats personal to your cousin, like his first or surname then its pointless unless they have the same names, no, theres no clean way of getting them off.

they will come off but you will still be able to make out the letters because of the sun and things like that
