Naming pet on Nintendogs?

Question

On Nintendogs for DS I have 2 dogs and then I purchased another one in the game and the thing for naming your new pet didn't pop up after I bought the dog. So now I have 2 named dogs and 1 unnamed one which I don't know how to fix. And, since it's not named I can't interact with the dog like really pet it and then I can't give it a bath or take it for a walk.

If anyone can pleasee help me of how to name the dog if there is a way.

Hey, i can help ya :)

You have to pet and play (Call it over to you and pet it) with the un-named dog. It has to get "used" to you before you can name him

After petting it 3 times it should allow you to name him.
