Naming your child after a river? Thames, Seine, Rhine, Danube? What do you think?

I think Thames would be a strong masculine name for a boy

While Seine could inspire whimsy for a little girl...

Keep in mind I wouldn't dare name a child Colorado or Mississippi

  1. I don't like the idea but it's your kid so if you do... Go for it!


  2. Thames isn't that bad, but the others will cause him to be made fun of in elementary school.

  3. I don't like the idea at all... think of what your kid will have to go through in school if you name him/her something weird... School kids are harsh.

  4. You try going to middle school being named Danube. We're supposed to protect our children not sabotage them

  10. oo-ooh how about Riviera? I think it's beautiful. Also Ellery. I believe that's a river. I like your ideas for Thames and Siene, how creative!
