Hong Kong’s spirited player Nan Wei continued his spectacular run and reached at the top-eight stage after showing exit to Shih Hua Teng of Chinese Taipei in pre-quarter-final clash at the Kumpoo Macau Open Badminton GP Gold 2012 on Thursday, November 29,
in Macau.
The in-form Nan, who stayed unbeaten in all of his clashes in the tournament, remained consistent in the arena and proved his worth in the round-of-16 battle by throwing out Shih Hua while taking 40 minutes in the arena.
Hong Kong shuttler put up superb show in the arena and remained composed all the way. He did not commit any mistake on crucial moments and remained successful in winning the battle in straight sets with a decent margin.
On the contrary, the Shih Hua was confused in the arena and failed to continue his winning streak in the tournament as he could not cope up with the impressive speed of his rival in the concluding points of both games and lost the battle in straight games.

After the break, the lower ranked Shih Hua failed to put up strong show against his in-form challenger who played positive badminton and clinched the game with a tight margin of 21-19.
Hong Kong shuttler registered a convincing win over Shih Hua in this pre-quarter-final battle in straight games with a superb 21-18 and 21-19 score on the board.
