Lovelyl place. Contrary to rumour, it is not the home of Nanaimo Bars, but they do make good ones.

FYI Nanaimo bars are a chocolate, cocoanut crust and cream filled confection.

What about it?  Ask a proper question.  Nanaimo is the hub city of Vancouver Island and is thought by some to be the major drug centre  for the whole of Vancouver Island.  It is the second largest city on the Island and now has it's own university.  Nanaimo is located on the Straits of Georgia and is built over long abandoned coal mines.  There are mine shafts under the city and lead out under the water to some of the closer Islands.  A very busy place.
