Nancy Drew: Danger By Design question?

Question

So, you know when you have just done the mouth, pinwheel, and fish eye thing and the grate opens? Well, I went down the grate and Nancy said, "There's no way I'm going in there with out a flashlight.". And I noticed that the inventory sign was lit up, so I opened it, and there was a flashlight there. But I'd never purchased one! Plus, it still said I needed a flashlight to go into the tunnel. So I thought, okay, I'll just go buy it again. So I went up to the vendor farthest away from the parks entrance, and the purchase was complete, but I never took it from the table and it wouldn't let me back away from the table. Can anyone help me?

I had the same problem! I just pressed second chance. But, It DIDN'T send me far at the beginning.
