The relegation-threatened Ligue 1 outfit has already confirmed the departure of Yohan Mollo and the club’s vice-president has indicated that Les Chardons will sell a few players in the January transfer window
Rock bottom in the Ligue 1 standings and a whooping eight points away from the safety of the relegation zone, Nancy Lorraine are on the wrong end of the Ligue 1 table with their status as a French elite club under serious jeopardy.
The January transfer window has also started on a negative note for the Lorraine-based outfit who recently farmed out former France Under-21 international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Mollo-c37429 to Rhone giants, AS Saint-Etienne on a six-month loan deal with an option to buy in the
next summer’s transfer window.
The decision to sell the 23-year-old was indeed a surprising one given that the youngster had been one of few better performers for the side during the past few forgettable months for the side. However, the club’s vice president, Nicolas Holveck spoke on
the official website of ASNL and informed that it was the player’s desire to leave the club.
“It was not an easy decision, because Yohan made his mark for the last 12 months but we had to make the necessary decisions and respect the desire of the player.”
And, the club is also looking to sell star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Djamel-Bakar-c11362. The fans don’t want to see the crowd favourite leave the club but with his contract set to expire this June, the president has said that he will sell Bakar in a bid to recuperate some profit.
“If you want to avoid him to go for free in June, this is our last chance to have a transfer. There are many offers in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 and abroad, and we are expecting an interesting offer. The club must also suit his interest.”
The same goes for Massadio Haidara and Cameroonian striker, Benjamin Moukandjo who would both be sold in the current transfer window. However, the president has said that the club might sign a few players too and then went on to say that the under pressure
manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jean-c18112 Fernandez will not be fired and will stay until his contract remains.
