Nani backs fellow midfielder Anderson to pick up form
Manchester United's winger, Nani has backed his friend and colleague Anderson to become the next big thing at Manchester United and follow his lead to establish himself as an integral part of the Red Devils' squad.
Portuguese winger Nani is a transformed player this season and is considered to be one of the top wide players in Europe. From a player who had humble starts since his arrival at the club in 2007 to becoming a superstar, Nani has transformed himself into
a lethal force. The player has displayed his undeniable talent at Old Trafford this season and has become one of the hot properties in Europe.
Nani kicked off his form in the second half of last season, where he brought down defences owing to his deceptive pace and good footwork. The player has some classic finishing ability along with a burst of pace needed to bring down any defence.
Nani now backs Anderson to step up his development at the club and should follow his footsteps and establish himself as a first choice with manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Both of them had arrived from the Portuguese League back in 2007 and were ones for the
future.
"Everyone knows the quality that Anderson has. He was unlucky with the knee injury that he suffered because he was just starting to play well and show us what we know he can do", said the Portuguese winger. Anderson had to undergo a severe knee ligament
surgery when he injured himself against West Ham this February. However, the Brazilian is now back in action and is fully fit. Anderson has the quality and Nani has full trust in his friend.
"We all know here that he is an amazing player. He is strong, he is a very clever player too and he can be a very important player in this team. He is a strong character too, which you need at this club. He’s not scared of anything. He’ll take the ball in
any situation and he can be a top player for Manchester United”, added the 23 year old Portuguese.
Manchester United are currently in desperate need of a midfield magician. Paul Scholes fits the resume perfectly but cannot feature in every match owing to his age. On the other hand, Darren Fletcher, who was outstanding last season, seems to have lost his
stride and has become more of an “aimless chaser” than a midfield genius. The players to replace them are Michael Carrick, Anderson and J.S. Park, who all lack the quality needed to become serious challenger for any competition.
