Manchester United’s Luis Nani believes that the Red Devils should be very disappointed if they fail to win the Premier League title.
Both the Manchester based clubs are set to face off later on, on Monday and with just three points separating City and United, it seems like everything is to play for in the derby.
City possess a superior goal difference, when compared to United and a win for the Blue side of Manchester would see them climb to the top of the table.
However, Nani believes that his side have been a little careless in recent weeks and need to go on and claim the league title once and for all, when they face their local rivals.
The Portuguese international, when talking about the ending to the season and just why it is important for City to win the league, went on to state: “We’ve been careless in recent games and only have ourselves to blame for being in this position.”
“We should have been going to City with an unassailable lead. But, instead, we are facing a very difficult game with everything at stake.”
“Shame on us. There is no excuse. A year without a title for a club like Manchester United would be a very bad year for everyone at the club. It would be a disaster.”
The winger then went on to commit his future to the club, as he insisted that he would be sticking around at the club in the future, since he felt like Manchester was now his new home.
“There have been times when it’s not been easy but they treat me well here and, step by step, I am fulfilling my dreams. Manchester United is my home.”

At the same time, a win tonight, could see United win their twentieth league title.
