Nanny Rates in the Midwest?

Question

I am wondering how much I should ask for. I am 20 years old. I would be working 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. So 40 hours a week. I would be driving the kids around a bit, to movies and such. The kids are 4,7 and 8. I live in Kansas City, MO.

My friend's nanny charges 350/wk

I live in Illinois near St. Louis. I have one child and pay my sitter $25/day, but I know the rate is quite a bit more in the city. I have friends that have more than one child that pay between $35-$40/day. Hope it helps!

Another idea is to check local daycare rates- that is what I based my pay on.
