  1. Do you have reason to suspect her/him of anything???  If not, I'd say no, but if you have even a slight feeling about something not being right then yes!  You can also buy a dummy camera so the person thinks they are being watched.  If you need a place to look, try

www.personalsafetycameras.com   They have all sorts of cameras.

  2. ??

What the heck do you care about "breaching" your nanny's "privacy?"

What you are concerned about is the security of your child(ren) when you are away from home!

Do you know how many abusive babysitters (and nannys) have been busted because a thougtful parent installed a SECRET 'nannycam" and "caught them in the act?"

Concern yourself with your child's well-being, and with YOUR piece of mind, and worry about your nanny's privacy (and other) issues later.

Of course, don't be surprised if you end up with x*x-rated movies while you're away and your child is asleep.

Oh!  You DO understand, I hope, that you can NEVER tell the nanny you're recording him /her, unless there is a problem, right?

If you tell the nanny you're recording them, you sort of negate the point of the nanny cam.

      Good luck with that!

  3. I would suggest that you only do it if you suspect foul-play, and there may be laws about employment, but if you explain your home security system has cameras then they cant moan. You may even want to put in a fake one to see if they try and cover it!
