The other morning i exercised for once in a very long time. I went running from 7 to 7:30 and i was fine until about 12 o'clock in the noon time so i took like a two hour nap. Do naps ruin the purpose of running or jogging?

  1. Of course not. You're still keeping your endurance, your fitness, burning calories. You're getting out there. If you're concerned, only nap for a half an hour and just got to bed earlier. I know in heavy training periods I often need quite a bit more sleep. They say that for every mile run per week, you should get 1 minute of sleep more per night. 20 mile of running, 20 minutes earlier to sleep.

  2. no but if u aet a twinkie or a ho- ho after u run then it will ruin the purpose

  3. No, not at all, I love naps after long runs...they are great! Your body uses that time to repair your body.

  4. all that running jump start ur metabolism. when u take a nap, u burn calories and bcuz ur napping, it means ur not eating. it actually benefits

  5. i dont think so.

    it doesnt do any harm.

its always good to sleep. except for when you eat then nap.
