Where can I find songs that the troops would sing into battle, trumpet blares, drummerboy, etc. Namely for the British and French.

For the British where can I find good Scottish bagpipe battle music?

Remember, Napoleonic Wars.

  1. Indirectly: “1812 Overture” by Tchaikovsky,

it’s concerned with Napoleonic wars i.e France–VS–Russia of course – Russian Church song & ‘ca va sans dire’ mais oui  (in French – goes without saying) The “Marseillaise” for French troops.

Scottish stuff: can research, but by-the-way: the Highlanders coming over the hill, with bagpipes, scared the bejeebers of French troops, they said are these banshees or what, what in sacre bleu is that? C’est vrai. Bonjour.
