Napoli beat Bologna 2-0 to climb to second position in the ongoing Serie A
Napoli beat Bologna 2-0 in a Serie A encounter at the Stadio Dall’ara on Sunday, 10 April, 2011.

Bologna made several changes to their team from the 3-1 defeat against Brescia in their last game. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Di-Vaio-c23689 and Daniele Paponi started upfront in a 4-4-2 formation for the hosts.
Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri made only two changes to his team from the 4-3 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 missed the game due to suspension.
Napoli made a bright start to the game and created a decent scoring opportunity in the 6th minute. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 slided an effort wide of goal from Andrea Dossena’s inch-perfect cross from the left midfield.
Bologna also created good scoring opportunities in the early exchanges and dominated the proceedings.

range to make it 1-0 for the visitors.
The visitors looked to reply with an immediate equaliser but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paolo-Cannavaro-c29080 made a crucial block from Paponi’s powerful strike which was destined for the bottom corner.
Just at the stroke of the half-time whistle, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 were awarded a penalty after Viviano hauled down Lavezzi inside the penalty area. The Bologna goalkeeper was lucky to have seen only a yellow card for his foul. Hamsik steeped up to take the spot kick and
smashed his shot into the top corner to make it 2-0.
Bologna made a substitution at half-time and replaced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Morgan-De-Sanctis-c26801 into making a wonderful save down to his left.
Moments later, De Vaio missed a sitter in front of goal from six yards as he stabbed a shot off target from a lovely pass from Paponi. Bologna’s wastefulness in front of the goal handed them their 11th defeat of the season.
Napoli will play Udinese in their next fixture on 17 April, 2011, whereas Bologna will take on Chievo the same day.
