The agent of Cesena midfielder, Andrea Candreva, has denied reports linking his client with a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003.
Candreva has been heavily linked with a move to Stadio San Paolo during the upcoming January transfer window. However, his agent has denied the rumours, and he believes that the Partenopei side has not yet contacted him. The agent
added that the midfielder is happy at the club, and has no intentions of leaving the Azzurri.
However, he believes that the on-loan Udinese star is open to a move to a bigger club in the future, and he will see what happens in the next 30 days of the transfer window.
While talking to the reporters, the agent insisted, “There has been no contact at all with Napoli. The player is happy at Cesena and he shouldn’t move during January. Obviously the window is open for a month and we all know that
things can change very quickly, but, I repeat, he’s happy where he is.”
“Candreva obviously dreams of playing for a top club, but in order to do this he has to do well at Cesena first,” Fiore continued.
The 24-year-old joined the Seahorses on-loan from Udinese before the start of the ongoing season, and has had an impressive season thus far. He has made only 11 league appearances so far this season, and has been extremely influential
in the midfield role.
Napoli manager, Walter Mazzarri, is a huge admirer of the Italian international, and is likely to test Udinese’s resolve by tabling a 5 million Euros bid. The midfielder can play in array of midfield positions, and his versatility
will be of huge advantage for Napoli as they are competing in different competitions.
On the other hand, Cesena will be looking to extend the midfielder’s stay at Stadio Manuzzi for at least six more months. The Seahorses are currently lying in the 19th spot in the league table, and they will be unwilling
to part ways with the former Parma star.
