Napoli have been linked with several strikers, including, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Floccari-c33061. Walter Mazzarri’s men finished third in the Serie A table and qualified for the UEFA Champions League after 21
years. The Naples based side are looking to add experienced individuals to their squad and Laurentiis confirmed that he is working day and night to find an ideal striker.
Talking to the reporters Laurentiis said, “We’re working night and day for Napoli. We still need something up front.”
Reports in the media suggest that the Azzurri are lining up a bid for veteran Parma striker, Cristiano Lucarelli, who spent last season on-loan at Stadio San Paolo.
The 35-year-old denied reports linking him with a move to Napoli and said that he has heard nothing from the club as yet.
Lucarelli said, “Nothing official has arrived from Napoli,” said the Parma player. “I’m waiting to understand whether there is this possibility or not. I have a good relationship with boss Walter Mazzarri and we often speak with
each other, something that will still occur in 10 years’ time.”
“He has faith in me, but it is clear that it will be the club who will decide. I don’t have any confirmation of what is being said in the newspapers.”
The former Italian international suffered a severe knee injury at the start of the season and had to miss a major chunk of the campaign. The striker made only 9 appearances for the club and scored only one goal in the recently
concluded campaign.
It is highly believed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 will try to get the former Torino star for one more loan season but if Parma do not agree, then they will be forced to sign him permanently.
