Manchester City have been on the hunt to land a solid striker, in order to boost their offensive options even further. As a result of this hunt, the team went on to target Napoli striker, Ezequiel Lavezzi.
However, despite City showing interest in the striker, it seems like Napoli see the funny side in the possibility of losing one of their prized assets.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 chief, has gone on to laugh at these comments and rumours,
as he claims that Lavezzi is going nowhere this summer.
In a recent interview, De Laurentiis is quoted to have said:"We all have the money but we are here and no one has called us”
"Hence, this story makes me laugh. My dear http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, I am sorry for you.
"Evidently, you anticipate moves of the [City owner] Sheikh [Mansour] that are not true to reality."
The Argentine international, Lavezzi joined Napoli way back in 2007. Despite already having spent four years at the club, the striker managed to finally have his breakout season with the club last season. Despite only scoring nine goals in thirty appearances
for the team, the forward has been hailed by critics all across the globe.
Lavezzi, who is under contract with the Italian club until 2015, offers a whole lot more to his side, apart from scoring goals. If anything, Lavezzi can be labelled as a work horse. However, the forward possess a whole lot more than the ability to run up
and down the pitch, without busting a sweat.
Lavezzi has immense strength and pace to match his work rate. He can pass the ball equally as good as he can shoot and he has the ability to play as a lone striker, or just off another attacker. All in all, the forward is the sort of player, that can help
boost any teams offensive department quite significantly.
According to most experts, the Argentine international is currently being valued in at around twenty six million pounds. Despite that evaluation, it is still quite unclear as to if City will be able to land the forward. The Manchester based team seem to
have taken their foot off the pedal, in their hunt for Lavezzi, but, should they have no luck elsewhere, then they might just have to return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 in order to capture the twenty six year old, striker.
