http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 have gone on to a fantastic start and won eight out of their thirteen opening matches. However there is a downside to all the good news
There is no doubt about the fact that victories are a good sign for any team and shows promise for more success in the near future. But the way the Partenopei are pushing themselves there is a distinct chance that they might deplete
their energies by the end of the league.
Former Siena and Palermo boss Giuseppe Sannino believes Napoli will struggle by the end of the series. He had this to say when asked about Napoli’s recent success.
“This is a League where you can no longer take anything for granted,” He told Radio Crc. “Napoli have started at 1,000 miles per hour, but sometimes you have to compromise.”
What he meant was that Walter Mazzarri and his men need to ease off the accelerator since this is not a sprinting competition. This is more like a marathon where you have to watch your endurance as a team or you might burn your
engines out.
Following the recent draw at the hands of Milan which according to most was Napoli throwing the game away. The match was going Napoli’s way until El Shaarawy came in and rained on their parade. This led to one point a piece where
as it should have been three just for Napoli.
Giuseppe Sannino had this to say: “They drew with Milan at the weekend, but you can't judge them at this point in the season.”
But then later went on to say for Napoli “They have had two positive results recently, but from what I've seen I think they will struggle to win the League.”
Basically what he is implying is that Napoli are up against some stiff competition from the rest of the league who won’t stand idly by while others take the Scudetto away from them.
There is room for improvement despite the victories on the Napoli front .What they need to is to buckle down and prepare themselves for the long term if they want to stay in the race for the championship come May.
