Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has expressed disappointment on his side’s loss to relegation threatened Lecce and claimed that players lacked the determination and concentration in the clash. He stated that the team displayed an immature performance
and didn’t deserve to wear the Napoli shirt.

The Chief insisted that although the hosts won the clash with a late goal from Chevanton, his side was very poor and the performance lacked the standard the team has maintained all season.
“The game was decided by a last-minute goal, it is true. But it was a performance that made me very sad. A goal such as Chevanton's indicates the presence of a team very immature and not ready to compete at the highest levels,” he was quoted as saying in
an interview to an Italian television channel.
The current Chairman of Napoli admitted that Azzurri didn’t play as a group and lacked the ambition to fight in the match. He criticized the players for not giving their full in the clash and described the loss as a humiliation.
“We did not play as a cohesive group and were not able to concentrate at the decisive moments. The players were not worthy to wear the jersey and to represent the colours of Napoli,” the president concluded.
Napoli are currently in third place on the Serie A standings table with 68 points, ten points adrift of the newly crowned champions, AC Milan. The Naples-based side were in contention for the Scudetto a month back but a series of poor results saw them lose
