The Partenopei midfielder warns his team against complacency for the Stamford Bridge clash; believes Chelsea are strong despite Andre Villas Boas sacking.
Marek Hamsik insists that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 will learn from the mistakes of AC Milan, as they prepare for their trip to Stamford Bridge.
Milan survived a huge scare in the second-leg after winning the first-leg of the tie with a comfortable margin of 4-0. The Rossoneri trailed by 3-0 in the second-leg at Emirates Stadium, but managed to hold onto their nerves and
seal a place in the quarter-finals of the competition.
Napoli defeated Chelsea 3-1 in their last 16 round first-leg at Stadio San Paolo a fortnight ago. Partenopei midfielder, Hamsik, has warned his team against making the same mistakes as Milan did against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
Walter Mazzarri’s side will take on Cagliari in their next game at Stadio San Paolo on Friday, March 9, and the Slovakian international has urged his team to take one game at a time. However, the former Brescia star has urged his
team to play their natural game, and not to give it to complacency.
Chelsea have sacked Andre Villas Boas recently, but Hamsik believes that the Blues are still a potent force, and Napoli should give them the due respect.
While talking to the reporters, Hamsik said:
“We are trying to approach things one game at a time. Now there is Cagliari, but everyone is waiting for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Milan suffered a lot in London so we must leave no stone unturned. We must do what Milan did not do in their first
half, where they suffered so much.”
“Yesterday Chelsea won in the FA Cup with [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294] Di Matteo on the bench. A new Coach always brings a shock and a change of attitude. This is to our disadvantage, but it must not change our approach. Chelsea will attack, so our
counter-attacking must be deadly.”
Hamsik is delighted with his team’s progress in Europe this season, and is hoping to go as far as possible in the Champions League. Along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955, the Slovakian has been the mainstay in the Azzurri
side.
