Napoli value Cavani at €100m
Italian outfit, Napoli, have valued their star striker, Edinson Cavani, at €100m to ward off interest from a host of European clubs.
Cavani is being targeted by a host of European clubs after a remarkable 2010/11 season for the Napoli. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan and Juventus are all keen to sign the Uruguayan international
but the Azzurri have no plans of letting their prized asset leave the club.
The 24-year-old played a huge role in guiding his team to finish third in the recently concluded 2010/11 Serie A campaign, which ensured Napoli’s participation in the UEFA Champions League after 21 years.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has revealed that he will resign from his position if he sells the striker for a penny less than €100m.
Talking to the reporters Laurentiis said, "I should have my license as president of Napoli taken away if I sell Cavani unless it is for 100 million euros. He (Cavani) recently signed a contract extension and I have given him a
good deal, which he merits."
Cavani scored 33 goals in 47 matches in all competitions for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Walter-c36580 Mazzarri’s side.
Cagliari cool Parolo interest
Italian outfit, Cagliari, have reportedly pulled out of the race to sign Cesena midfielder, Marco Parolo, in the summer transfer window.
The Rossoblu have been linked with a move for the player for some time now but Cesena’s asking price is beyond their budget for the player.
Reports in the media suggest that the Seahorses rejected an offer from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Donadoni’s side last week, as it was half of Cesena’s asking price for the player.
The Cagliari President clearly mentioned that he would not bid over the odds for the playmaker and will pull out of the deal instead.
“Why should I spend €8m on Parolo when we already have http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Davide-Biondini-c10641 in the squad?”
Parolo has attracted interest from a host of European clubs after an impressive 2010/11 campaign for the Seahorses.
The Italian international has established himself as one of the most reliable midfielders in the country and it is highly expected that he will be poached by a bigger club in the summer transfer window.
