Napoli to co-own Sergio Almiron and Porto boss Andre Villas Boas denies links to Roma and Juventus
SSC Napoli are keen to acquire 50 percent shares for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Almiron from AS Bari. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the negotiations between the two outfits have started and there is good progress on the talks for the Argentinean midfielder.
Napoli are currently tracking the influential midfielder, Gokhan Inler, but the deal is not likely to happen as Inler is too expensive for the Neapolitans. The head coach, Walter Mazzarri, gave his recommendations for the possible replacement of Inler in
the transfer market choices and Almiron is deemed to be the one the Azzurri are looking for.
The 30-year-old playmaker will add strength and depth to the central midfield of the Partenopei and will also be cheaper than the Udinese playmaker. Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, offered 10 million Euros for Inler but Udinese refused the bid asking
for an amount somewhere close to the 15 million Euros mark.
In this regard, Almiron can be acquired between two to three million Euros. Bari are at the bottom of the league and are virtually relegated already with four games left in the Italian top flight, leaving no chance of a comeback. The relegation brings financial
crisis with it and it would mean that the outfit will be selling out players to cover up for the loss.
The playmaker himself is keen to make an exit from the outfit after the inevitable demotion for the team. Currently co-owned by the Turin giants, Juventus FC, it is highly unlikely that the Old Lady will keep the Argentinean and this gives http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 yet another
reason to acquire the easy catch.
At the other end in Serie A, Juventus FC and AS Roma are both looking for a new tactician and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 Coach, Andre Villas Boas, is looked upon as a possible candidate at both the outfits. However, the Portuguese coach has strongly denied any news connecting
him to the Serie A outfits.
While talking to media and answering the rumours circulating in the media, Villas Boas said, “There have been some incredible stories. They say that I said no to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809: it's absurd. Rumours are natural given what this team
has done, but anyone it's a false piece of information. It's absurd to say that teams are coming to see me. During a match a Coach does nothing but dress well and run around a little.”
