The Partenopei chief insists that they will not be making a bid for the Montenegrin wonder kid in lieu of their friendship with La Viola.
Jovetic has been in sensational form this season, sparking interest from all across Europe, and speculation is rife on the future destination of the Viola striker.
Fiorentina bosses have alerted the suitors by stating that they would consider selling their prized asset if a substantial offer comes their way. This has put many Premier League, La Liga and top Serie A clubs on high alert.
Napoli has been touted as one of the possible destinations for the 22-year-old. However, Azzurri chief, Aurelio De Laurentiis, has come forward and distanced himself from launching a bid for the Viola star.
While in an interview with Radio Blu, the Azzurri chief stated:
“If I didn’t have so much respect for my friends, the Della Valle family [who own Fiorentina], then I would be asking them on a daily basis to sell me Jovetic.”
After stating his good ties with the Fiorentina owners, De Laurentiis further continued and said that the clubs should not poach players from each other.
On the topic of Jovetic, the Partenopei chief added:
“He is a talented player with a long future ahead of him. None of us should move to take great players away from each other.”

The Partenopei owner stated that he felt the tie would be an “an exciting encounter because Fiorentina are improving and they, like us, have an extraordinary coach.”
The match between the two sides was definitely interesting; however the score-line highlighted a one-sided affair. The clash was won convincingly won by Walter Mazzarri’s men, who thrashed Fiorentina 3-0.
