The former Sampdoria head coach has gone on to state his ambitions with the Partenopei outfit, and went on to comment on his ideas for the upcoming season.
The Neapolitan outfit have been progressively improving along the years ever since Aurelio De Laurentiis took over the club when it was in the Serie C1. Their promotion to the Serie A under the presidency of the film producer came
in 2007, which was the first time in six years that the Partenopei had reached Serie A.
Ever since their promotion, Napoli have not turned back and a lot of it has to do with their head coach and tactician, Walter Mazzarri. Mazzarri has been at the helm of the southern http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 outfit ever since the departure of Edy
Reja. He built on the success achieved by his predecessor and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 qualified for the Champions League under his tenure in the 2011/12 season.
Napoli surprised everyone in their European endeavours as they overcame the might of Manchester City in the group stages, and were close to causing an upset in the round of 16 against the eventual winners of Champions League, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
The tactician talked about his commitment to lead Napoli to the top of the Serie A table and he vowed to give his all, he went on to state:
“Our objective? All I will say is that we will give our all. It doesn’t get better than winning at Napoli. For the Scudetto I would even stop smoking for a while...”
He went on to comment on instilling passion and a drive into his team and reflected on the need to chop and change things in the team to keep everyone on their toes. He went on to state:
“I’ve looked to change the system to a 3-5-2 to fire up the players. Football is about motivation, without it you run the risk of putting on a terrible show. I’m looking to do something different on a tactical level in order to
surprise our opponents.”
The Neapolitan outfit defeated the runners up of the UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga, Bayern Munich, last Friday; overcoming the Bavarian giant’s 3-2.
