Napoli’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michele-Pazienza-c25498 closing in on Juventus deal – Serie A news
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 midfielder, Michele Pazienza, who earlier declined an offer from the Naples-based club to sign a contract extension, is closing in on a Juventus deal. The Turin giants have confirmed that the Italian has one foot in the Stadio Olimpico and will soon
be called a Juventus player.
The officials seemed excited with the move as they believed that Pazienza’s inclusion would bolster their midfield. The Girlfriend of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 is already on the look for more quality players in a bid to reclaim the lost glory.
The 28-year-old invited a lot of interest from several top European sides. Apart from Juventus, a couple of other Serie A sides, including AC Milan and Genoa, expressed interest in the midfielder.
La Liga side, Atletico Madrid, also expressed their interest in the midfielder but they were not able to come up with an acceptable offer. The Turin giants have now dented the hopes of other teams interested in the Italian. The former Fiorentina player is
expected to start the 2011/12 in Bianconeri colours.
Pazienza has been in impressive form for the Naples-based club this season even though statistics, just a solitary goal from 31 league appearances, suggest otherwise. Pazienza landed at Stadio San Paolo in 2008 and has made 99 league appearances for the
club since then, bagging four goals from those matches.
The Italian is yet to make his professional debut for the Italian national side and has also represented the likes of Foggia and Udinese.
Napoli looked eager to retain the youngster for the upcoming season but the 28-year-old had other ideas as he decided to part ways with the club in spite of having enabled his side to qualify for next year’s UEFA Champions League.
Pazienza now hopes to enjoy a decent spell at Juventus and so do the Turin officials. The deal looks certain to get completed by the end of next week as the Serie A giants look to build a formidable midfield.
