Napoli’s Michele Pazienza will join Juventus in coming day, says agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito
The Italian outfit Juventus, who just ended a miserable Serie A season having finished seventh on the table, are all set to swoop for Napoli midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michele-Pazienza-c25498, for the next season as he is available on a free transfer. This news has been confirmed
by his agent, Vincenzo D’Ippolito, who claims that midfielder will complete his transfer to Juventus in the upcoming days.
The 28-year-old has been on the radar of many European clubs after closing on a magnificent season with Napoli. Reports indicate that AC Milan, the 2011 Serie A Champions, are also keeping Pazienza on their hit list for next season. AC Milan consider Pazienza
as a perfect replacement for hard tackling http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gennaro-Gattuso-c14525, who might leave the club this summer after receiving a lucrative deal from the Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala.
But it seems like AC Milan’s efforts of hiring Pazienza will prove unproductive after his agent confirmed that his client’s future lies with Juventus. The Italian international appeared 31 times for Napoli this season and played an important role in helping
the Naples-based outfit seal a place in the next season’s UEFA Champions League. Napoli finished third in the recently concluded 2010/11 Serie A season.
While talking to Corriere dello Sport, Vincenzo D’Ippolito told that Pazienza will join Juventus in the next few days after undergoing a medical later this week.
“The deal with Juventus is done. Pazienza will undergo a medical later this week.” D’Ippolito said.
Pazienza, after kicking off his professional career with Foggia in 2000, moved to Udinese in 2003 where he played 52 matches before he was signed by Fiorentina in 2005. He appeared in 44 matches for Fiorentina before switching to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 in 2008 for an estimated
fee of 4.8 million Euros.
Football critics believe Juventus have taken a step in the right direction by identifying Pazienza as an addition.
