Narimashita? Please help. . . ?

I can't remember anything about narimasu/narimashita.

When and why would the particle before it change?

Ex. ______ になりました。

______ くなりました。

Please help me ; - ;

く is not a particle... It's the way an adverb ends...

______ になりました is for becoming a noun or な adjective

______ くなりました is for becoming an い adjective/adjverb

Ex.

学生になりました -> [I] became a student

１８歳になりました -> [I] turned 18

青くなりました -> [I] turned blue (went pale)

面白くなりました -> [It] became interesting
