Is there anyone else who agrees? If so,why do you think it's overrated? Personally ,I think it's boring and annoying. It just lags on and on and I dislike the characters...the craze is just so incredibly annoying! Um,sorry if I offended any Narutards (just my opinion...)

  1. Naruto= Poor man's DBZ

    Naruto blows

  2. Yeah... I think most mainstream anime is overrated. I've tried watching and reading Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, One Piece, Yu Yu Hakusho... But after getting past the first few books/episodes (which ranged from so-so to great), they all started going downhill at a rapid pace, so I gave up. The only ones I've actually liked are Fruits Basket (though it, too, started going downhill and I stopped reading it around vol. 14) and Deathnote (which I believe is too good to be a mainstream manga. The anime is meh, though...).

But it wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the millions of fans that worship those shows and then don't know that there are better ones out there. It's just frustrating...

  3. you might not like the story but other really do,

i understand how the characters are kind of stupid but strong,

but it has a nice story,

something is overrated because it deserves to be over-rated, why was it rated in the first people if everyone thought it was stupid ?

  4. Sigh. You guys who are answering probably don't know what fillers are. After episode 136 or 137, you should skip right to shippuden. Fillers are stupid and pointless.

  5. h***s Yeah....

    BELIEVE IT!!!!!

    (lol)

  6. i like naruto, but i know how you feel. the story right now just seems pointless. i'm just waiting for shippuuden, i hear it's much better.

  7. they just keep using the same joke over and over!

  8. I don't know how I managed to maintain my intelligence when I watched Naruto up to episode 14 or 15. I often wondered when something would actually happen. Dull. It may have potential but I think it was poorly written and it would probably be better written if it were in novel form. Maybe. I haven't read the manga but I can assume it's better than anime although it's certain to be long-winded as well. Technically, it's overrated for reasons I cannot fathom.

I've noticed that the mainstream anime failed miserably to win my attention. Though, while I have no care for the Inu-Yasha series, I enjoy the movies--because, for one, they're short.

  9. I agree with you when it comes to the anime. Even the Japanese version was really drawn out and boring.

However, I really liked the manga and it took several chaps before I liked any of the characters. And further in it explains a lot of things...Which makes it even better.

    I don't think it's overrated.
