When performing a nasal rinse with the Neti Pot or a NeilMed rinse bottle, what sinuses does the water enter?

  1. Hopefully none.


  2. The sinus ostia and frontal sinus (right under your eyes). That's one reason it is critical to use salt to kill bacteria. If done improperly, you may also get salt water and mucous down your throat and affect your inner ear.
