Nascar 09 PS2 question?

I've tried many qualifying attemts to get into the sprint cup on the chase for the sprint cup on nascar 09. I always fail in Daytona. How can I not fail?

Get a Different Setup. Daytona is known for high speed adjust the car to your liking. Draft Draft Draft is the keyword. Know how to use it. It will help you out big time. To not fail just try you hardest to win!

Start in the last three qualifiers, Craftsman, Whelen and Daytona Road Course first and get gold, then if you get a silver in Daytona the average is a gold and you start in Sprint and Nationwide.

or don't qualify at Daytona and you may still qualify Gold.

I had the same problem. Also if you have that stupid "informative racing line" turned on, turn it off it seems to slow you down too much getting into those corners. Another thing is that if you can maintain speed after the initial lap launches the car for the warmup lap you may be able to just squeak by with a silver, I have never gotten gold on the Daytona Speedway only silver, but Gold in everything else still gets you into Sprint Cup with a level 8 in skill points.
