Nascar Dover truck race questin?

2 years ago I went to a truck race wit my granfather in the air condition seats we saw cup qualifying and practice,nationwide (then busch) practice truck qualifying and the truck race did he have to pay for those and the race or was it free with a race ticket????

i always thought you could watch the truck, cup and nationwide race without paying for Nationwdie and Truck tickets.

It's a more expensive ticket, my guess is he paid a whole lot more or he got them for free from a company he works for or something.
