  1. I don't like change much.  Of any sort.

    If it ain't broke.....etc...

Dave...I hear ya about Snake.  he wasn't happy about Sunday's last caution and he sure as heck ain't happy about the Hotlanta race!

  2. Besides california being in the chase it looks good to me. I'm excited for the restrictor plate race being in the chase though

  3. Memo to me, next year ask for tickets to Dega for my birthday.

  4. This page cannot be found

    Ps. the California track sucks

  5. I'm kinda bummed they took Atlanta out of the chase and put California in there but Atlanta being on Labor day weekend gives it a little solice.

Warning:: Bow Legged Snake is HOT under the collar about it too.

  6. Ohhhh Nooooo Mr. Tom! So it's true you ARE going to replace Jimmie Johnson in the #48 for 2009.

  7. could get better attendance as well as timing in the heat and weather, good idea in general

  8. LOL

I really wish Chicago would a get a second Cup date.

  9. It is no better or worse than this year.No Rockingham.Too much Pocono and NH and crummy road courses.

  10. d**n Bro, you scared me!

    I like the schedule.

PS Don't scare me like that lmao

  11. Ughhh, I read that and thought "oh no, there goes a good one." Glad you were joking.

With that being said, the schedule is fine with me. I like the idea of one restrictor plate track being in the chase also.

  12. I think it looks cool. I like how they moved Talledega to Nov. 1 to have one restrictor race as a part of the "Chase". I think it will make it a little more interesting. I acutually think they should also make one of the road courses a part of the chase as well just to give the chase a little more variety in the courses they run during the chase. Also can't wait to see Rusty Wallace's track in the Nationwide series with the Iowa track they added.

  13. OMG you about gave me a heart attack and that's not very nice! LOL This place wouldn't be the same without you and I really couldn't click on this question fast enough when I saw that!! Okay now that I got that out of the way, I like the 2009 schedule! (Now try to be nice and don't scare me like that again, Okay LOL)

    LMAO!!!

  14. Its ok. I was hoping the spring race in Bristol would be later. Its awfully cold in TN in March. But at least I have a reason to wear my driver jacket!

And there's a race on my birthday (even if its California) and the July Daytona race actually falls on the 4th. (Not NASCAR's doing, but still cool). I also like Talladega in the chase.

  15. The schedule's fine with me - it is what it is.

You ain't fooling me, I happen to know that you're WAY too young to retire.  :  )

EDIT:  Snake, don't hold back.  Tell us what you really think!!!  XXXOOO

  16. Well VP, after I picked my self outta the floor....let's answer your question. I love that California is no longer going to be the Labor Day event....BUT I am angry they give Darlington back it's name but not the date!!!! Love to see the "Lady In Black' go back to Labor day. But Atlanta does have history and usually produces exciting racing....and it'll be at night....so I am willing to give it a chance. Glad to see Talladega later in the Chase I think that'll be huge!!! California I don't care about....wished they gave the date to Kentucky or Iowa-LOL. Just never been impressed by the racing there. I mainly fall asleep during Cali races....Infineon included. No offense to the fans our there...but it's just not like the racing I grew up watching. Of course these are just my opinions.

  17. I agree with Snake, Labor Day belongs in Darlington.. California only needs 1 race the Feb race, everyone is too busy with college football, NFL, school functions etc also it can still rain in Oct or  we could have the wonderful Santa Ana winds blow in and its still gonna be hot. Nice to see Iowa get a race.. The schedule still needs some tweaking, hopefully in the next couple yrs Nascar will look and analyze which tracks get the biggest crowds they are the ones who deserve the 2 races a yr.. Tom I knew you really weren't gonna retire, but you did scare me, Sadler needs his #1 fan.

    Go Dale Jr & Hms

  18. why would you leave anyway im super serial  thats just CrAzY

I thing the new schedule is petty fitting too bad it wasnt for this year

its also nice iowa gets a NWS race theve been really patient

  19. i think they should just hold all the races at michigan. it sure would save a lot of teams a lot of money. and cutting out all those haulers going back and forth, not to mention the planes and helicopters, sure would help the environment. no other reason.

    :-\

  20. thank god yaw!

i guess the schedule's good. it's better to have talladega closer to the end of the season. and to have atlanta in the race to the chase.

  21. Although I like the idea of having one restricter plate race in the Chase, I do not like the fact that California Speedway (Auto Club Speedway, whatever) was moved to October. Hello, who made that stupid decision?

It's not that I'm pissed about it being kicked off Labor Day weekend; that's fine, I don't care. But couldn't they have at least moved it to a different weekend in September or even August? I don't think it's a good track to put in the Chase at all. Atlanta, to me at least, has better racing; there's more stuff that goes on there.

The main reason I hate that it was moved to October is because it is more likely to rain here in Southern California in October than say August or even late September.

Great, now we'll never see full day of racing here again. Nice job, whomever made that wonderful decision, you should be given an award... for your stupidity.

Sorry about the rant but I'm not at all pleased with the schedule.

  22. I'm a little ticked that Talladega got moved. If it had stayed where it was, I would have been going on my birthday. I'm glad California doesn't have the Labor Day race anymore, but I wanted it to go back to Darlington.

  23. They ripped us off Tom!!  Big Time

They gave Darlington back her name... should of just as well, given her birthday back too her too.

I hope Bruton Smith.. Mike Helton & The entire France Family, are sitting here in the dark, next labor day weekend.

Watching their Good/Years blow out and sucking their water out of their Sunoco fuel with a straw!

  24. Looks good to me. Although I'm not sure where they got the idea to give California a date in thechase. If they put anything in there it should be a road course. Preferably a 2nd date for the Glen. Oh well, not gonna happen but I am excited about the new night race at Atlanta :)
