At the race track, I can't say I like him at all. Sorry to Stewart fans but I think he whines a lot and gets mad at stuff he does. Off of the track, I can't say a bad thing about him though with all the charity work he does.

Tony is awesome!! I love how he doesnt care what people think and how he speaks his mind if he is pissed about something and doesnt care what the repurcussions are!! Some of the other drivers need to take notes on how to stand up for themselves!!

I like him.  He's one of the few drivers left who'll tell you what he thinks, regardless of how much trouble it gets him into.  I don't agree with him all the time, and think he's a bit of a jerk sometimes, but I definitely respect that he is who he is and doesn't change to make others happy.  Plus, he's a heck of a driver.

Smoke is my second favorite driver and has been for for a long time. He is who he is at the track...a race car driver and one of the best in my opinion. When he is in that car he's all business and that's how it should be. Off the track he has one of the biggest hearts in the world. Go to Eldora race track in Rossburg, Ohio sometime when he has his annual charity race. You see a different side of Smoke. He's there for fun and to make money for charity. Nascar is a big business and he's there to do a job. He has settled down a lot in the last few years. One thing about him is that he tells it just like he sees it. He spoke out about the tire issue, not just for himself or to be a jerk but for the safety of all the drivers. Probably one of the biggest reasons people do not like him is because he is truthful. I happen to think Tony Stewart is an awesome man. I luv him to death. Smoke fan proud n loud!    =o~}

I think that Tony Stewart is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G I love him as a driver and a person!! He is my second fav. driver and partners with my fav. Denny Hamlin! I honestly think that Denny is learning from the best...Stewart. Not only is Tony a great driver and person, but he is from my home town Indiana!! =)

Tony Stewart has a heart of gold. Off the field. On the field he is a great driver just having some bad luck this year, hopefully it will turn around this weekend.

I really wish he could lose some of that weight he has put on though.

Gonna take some heat for this answer, but here it is: Tony is a throw back to drivers of old, before the polished smiles of the young marketing machines took over.  If all the drivers turned into Carl Edwards clones over the next few years, I may have to tune into Oprah for excitement. In my opinion,  the personality and unpredictability of the likes of Stewart, Robbie Gordon, Waltrip, are just downright good for NASCAR.

Tony is an awesome guy! He donates so much money to different charities! Just last week he donated all his winnings to Indiana for flood relief! Eldora was all for charity too!

Judging him on pure driving skill objectively you would have to put him at the top of the list. Not just Nascar, but everything he has ever driven.... ever, if there's a championship for it, he's won it. One of the few multi-time champions in Nascar history.

Emotions run as hot as his tires at the race track. I don't know about you, but I don't want my driver to be a robot. I want him to be full of pi$$ and vinegar, and Tony certainly fits the bill.

Off the track you couldn't ask for a better human being. He knows d**n well you can't take it with you when you go, and he proves it with all the charitable things he does. Not just donating money, but donating time from his busy schedule.

Not just one of these, oh i got caught with a DUI and i need to do community service kinda celebrities either. He's someone who really cares.

You want someone to look up to kids? Take a real close look at Mr. Stewart. Gives 110% on the track and a dedicated humanitarian off the track. A real life hero, if you'll let me be so bold as to make that comparison.

tony a great guy, he's smart, funny, hard working! he puts on the best dirt racing around! were there is smoke there is fire in my heart.......... in 2005 tony donated 1 million to Katrina victims, and in 2001 tony donated 100 thousand to 9/11 also gave blood, tony has many charities to help children, and he enjoys spending time at Riley's hospital........ tony is a dear man and is very dear to my hear!.......... like rackpurde said tony gave his winning to all the flood victims in the Midwest...... Columbus Indiana were tony lives is under water as we speak...... i just hope his home is okay!

I liked him last year and then in the offseason I decided I didn't like his driving style because he was too aggressive. At Talladega I decided to stop hating him since he and Jr. are drafting partners. I don't know, I guess he's alright. But the Stewart craze that everyone loved is gone. Thank God.

Tony is a great guy and driver he has that big bad rough tough attitude on the track that I love about him but off the track he is a big softie with a great big heart he does alot of Charity stuff and he just recently donated his winnings from Sunday to the Midwest Flood Victims and he does that kind of thing all the time so not only is he one of the all time great Nascar drivers he's also an all time great human being!!!!

edit: hey I'll answer that crying thing but I don't think he cries or whines (but everyone is entitled to their opinion) but I think the deal is when you tick Tony off your gonna know it and you better watch out cause he'll let ya know about it wheter it's another driver or about tires or whatever but that's just my 20 cents on that subject!! =:)
