Nascar scs and other cell phone companies?

so ive read that after 2008 at n t cant sponsor nascars anymore. is that true? and also, what about the 12 alltel car? it will need to change to verizon. will we see the same lawsuit mess all over again? i think this whole sprint banning other companies is unethical and they should only be allowed to charge an extra sum to those companies to sponsor nascar teams.
