  1. Yes until he met Barrera, the bubble burst

He was not a serious boxer, he clowned too much.

  2. h**l no, he was a clown good thing barrera gave him a whooping, man i wish he was still fighting right now so boxers like pacman and marquez would give him another beating

  3. He was a great entertainer

  4. Never liked his style which was copied off Herol Graham, who may be remembered as a great knockout highlight of Julian jacksons.he had an overrated punch and was ignorant to what was best for him in the gym,he was a pain in and out of the ring and if not for his awkwardness he would have been knocked out before he beat all the washed up fighters in title fights.finally.unlike most fighters he has held onto his money and is probably the richest boxer outside of America

  5. Maybe, but until he was defeated by Barrera which in turn Barrera took the same beating from Pacquiao. "pana-panahon lang yan"

  6. greatest of all time

  7. I would consider Naseem Hamed more of a great entertainer than a great fighter. People might look at his record and see only one loss and think he was this dominate champion however the featherweight division was very low on talent when Naz was their. Guys like Pacquao and Eric Morales were in lower weight classes not that its Naz's fault he just never stood around long enough to test himself with them. He did fight Marco Antonio Barrera but he got ripped apart the fight were he was supposed to prove he wasn't some over-hyped British star he loses proving exactly what boxing insiders were pondering in the first place.

Prince Naz Great entertainer not a great Fighter.

  8. As one of the answers said he was compelling to watch you either loved or hated him . His biggest mistake was to let relatives manage his Career as a few other boxers have .

  9. I think his attitude made expecations too high for him - if he wasn't so "cocky" I think most would consider him a great fighter.

Its hard to dispute that he was at least one of the hardest hitting featherweights of all-time, and he did have several wins of legit contenders, former and current world champions.  He was compelling to watch in the ring, and he only had 1 loss (albeit, he only had one fight after that loss) against, arguably, the greatest featherweight of the past 25 years or so.

Just because a guy gets beat doesn't mean he was "exposed", if you remember, Barrera was only a couple fights removed from being completely KOd by Posion Jones and losing a rematch to him, when he beat the Prince - but I don't think that calls his greatness into question.

If you sit down and watch the Prince fight, I don't think its hard to put him in the category of great fighters - he had extraordinary power, great speed, he was tough, and very exciting.

  10. he did a great job of destroying fighters that nobody ever heard of.    He did however get thoroughly punished by Marco Antonio Berrera.

He simply has not had the quality of opposition to make him a great fighter.

  11. great talent, great boxer but he never took boxing seriously and he never really trained!also the fact that he was not american did not help him really to become a legend (it seems like only americans can be legends 99% of magazines and boxing assosiations r americans)
