Nashville Predators plays host to Anaheim Ducksin the fourth and final meeting between them
Another one of the interesting games on Thursday will be played at the Bridgestone Arena as Nashville Predators plays host to Anaheim Ducks.
This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams during the course of the season. Predators have been in brilliant form in the series and they have won all the three games.
In fact all the last four meetings between the two teams have been won by Predators and they are in a good position to win the fifth one in a row.
The last time that these two teams were up against each other, Predators came up with a strong offensive display that saw them winning the game 4-1 in the end with Patric Hornqvist scoring the winning goal of the game.
Ducks were trailing in the their last game against Dallas Stars when they managed to level the scores just on the verge of the end of the period and then scored in overtime to win the game 4-3 in the end.
Ducks are in the final playoff position in the Conference and ahead of Stars by a point and Flames by two points.
"It shows the resiliency of our team and how there's no quit no matter what the circumstances are," Fowler said. "You can always rely on some of the veterans to step up when the game is on the line. Teemu did that for us. Bobby (Ryan) gave me a great pass
in overtime. I didn't really have much work left to do. You put the game on those guys' sticks and 99 percent of the time, they're going to come up with a result for you."
The game against Stars was a moment to celebrate for Ducks as they not only won the game but did so after falling behind.
However, with the recent form they have shown and winning their second straight game in overtime, Ducks are in the cut now.
"At this point, I think I'm pretty close to be playing," Hiller said. "I don't want to over-do it. At some point, I'll have to try it. If it goes the way it's gone in practice, I'm not worried.”
Ducks have played 73 games during the course of the season out of which they have won 41 games in regulation time, five games in overtime to score a total of 87 points.
On the other hand, Predators have played 74 games in the season out of which they have won 39 games in regulation time, 10 games in overtime to score a total of 88 points.
Predators are in good form as they have won their last four games and are in the seventh spot in the Western Conference. They won their last game against the Oilers 3-1 while playing on home ice.
