Nashville Predators plays host to Los Angeles Kings in the fourth and final meeting between them
The Bridgestone Arena will be the venue for another game of Tuesday as Nashville Predators play host to Los Angeles Kings.
This will be the fourth and final meeting between the two teams during the course of the season.
Out of the three games that have already taken place so far between the two sides, Kings won the first two meetings, 4-1 and 6-1, respectively. However, Predators won the last game between the two sides by 5-2.
Predators have been in sublime form as they have managed to come up with wins in their last three consecutive games.
They are on a five-game home stand out, of which they have played two games and won both of them comprehensively, against Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild.
Kings, on the other hand, are on a four-game road trip of which they have won three games already and if they win this game they would complete another successful road-trip during which they won all four games.
The Western Conference is very tight but considering the fact that Kings have won 11 games in regulation time out of the 14 games they have played away from home, is one of the reasons that they are in the fourth spot in their Conference.
Kings are also strong in their Pacific Division as they trail San Jose Sharks by just three points for the lead.
Kings came up with quite a show in their last game where they levelled the scores on 2-2 against Dallas Stars.
In the overtime, they managed to score once again to clinch a 3-2 victory.
"That was an emotional roller coaster," said Dustin Penner, who has two goals and three assists in six games since being traded from Edmonton on February 28. "I think it's a credit to the guys in the locker room, not to get down, especially when they score
with 40 seconds left. For us to bounce back, it showed a lot of character and a lot of heart. It's almost like ignorance, or a naive attitude, to where we don't care if they tied it up. We're going to come back and get the next one. Other teams might fold
the tent."
Both the teams have played 69 games during the course of the season so far out of which Predators have won 35 games in regulation and 10 games in overtime to score 80 points.
Kings have won 39 games in regulation and five games in overtime to score a total of 83 points.
Predators have 10 of their last 14 games on home and this provides them with a chance to make up some place as they look to crawl their way into the playoff cut.
