Nashville Predators plays host to Vancouver Canucks in the fourth and final meeting between the two

Nashville Predators will host league leaders, Vancouver Canucks, in another one of the important games of Tuesday at the HSBC Arena. This will be the fourth and final encounter between the two teams during the course of the season.
Out of the three games that have taken place this season between the two teams, Canucks won the first game while Predators bounced back with quite a performance that saw it winning the last two games, 3-1 and 3-0, respectively.
Canucks has shown one of the most dominating performances during the course of the regular season by a team.
It has made a franchise record by scoring 109 points beating its own previous record of 105 points which it established in the 2006-07 season. It continues to strengthen the record with each game it wins.
Predators occupies the sixth spot in the Western Conference but is only two points ahead of the final playoff spot.
Predators has kept pace with the teams ahead of it and managed to win six consecutive games that it will be looking to come up with a strong performance this time out as well to hold on to the spot.
Predators has really given itself a major push as it has won the last six games and with just six games remaining it is in a good position.
However, it needs to continue on the winning roads as all of its remaining games are against the Western Conference teams that might see them slipping out of the cut if it loses.
Predators came up with a decent performance in its last game against Dallas Stars, which saw it winning 4-2 in the end with Mike Fisher scoring twice during the game.
"It felt good to get a couple", Fisher said. "That was a pretty big monkey to get off of my back. It has been a tough slide here for me lately. Obviously, the win is the most important thing, but it felt good to help out".
Predators has played 76 games during the season so far out of which it has won 41 games in regulation time and 10 games in overtime, scoring a total of 92 points.
Canucks, on the other hand, has played 76 games too, winning 50 games in regulation time and nine games in overtime to score a total of 109 points.
Canucks is on a road trip which has seen it winning the first two games, 3-1 against Atlanta Thrashers and 4-1 against Columbus Blues Jackets.
It will be looking to win its third consecutive game and in turn also extend the 50-game winning streak during a single regular season.
"Teams are obviously getting themselves prepared for us", Canucks’ coach, Alain Vigneault, said. "I thought Columbus, tonight, played real strong. At the end of the night, our goaltender was better than their goaltender and we won the game".
Canucks is stronger of the two teams and in good shape to win the game and further extend the already high standards that it has set.
